Todays pre-wedding shoot was at Maenan Abbey, near Betws y Coed which is a new venue for us to work at. Some stunning backdrops here and the inside of the hotel is beautiful.

This was the couples chosen image for their signature board, and they have chosen one of our new range of albums – The Ribbons ! Fantastic choice. Looking forward to capturing their day at this lovely venue very soon.

Todays wedding took place at one of our most frequented hotels – The  Grosvenor Pulford Hotel, Chester and at the beautiful St Giles Church in Wrexham.

Bridal preparations began the days coverage – dress shoes, flowers and a couple of shots of Gemma getting ready will start the story of Gemma and Pauls day in their beespoke designed album. Off to St Giles then to meet up with Paul and the groomsmen for some pre-cermony shots outside the church. As the guests arrived and took their seats, I waited for the arrival of the bridesmaids and of course the Bride. After a couple of lovely shots of Gemma and her Dad, I went inside to capture the ceremony and the exchange of vows.

After a few traditional bridal party and family shots outside the church on then to the wedding reception venue. Although the weather was a bit cold, it was dry which enabled us to take some fantastic shots around the gardens at The Grosvenor Pulford. Gemma and Paul were a fantastic couple to work with, and look so natural together made capturing those romantic shots a pleasure! Inside for those all important mirror shots – which have turned out stunning!

After the staged cutting of the cake, I left Gemma, Paul and their guests to enjoy their wedding breakfast before meeting up with them again later for their evening reception and first dance. Vale Royal Abbey, Northwich, Cheshire is a new venue for us – but an absolutely stunning location.

Todays bride and groom were the lovely Lucindar and Adrian. While Lucinda was having her hair styled I took the opportunity of capturing her dress and flowers before meeting up with Adrian in the grounds. We got a few great shots of the groomsmen before waiting for the arrival of the bridesmaids and bride. The ceremony room was very grand and gave the opportunity to capture all those moments as the couple made their vows. With the weather in our favour – we went out into the gardens to get those all important romantic shots. Lucinda and Adrian made my job easy and were fantastic to work with. After the family groups we went inside to photograph the reception room – with a green theme using fresh apples as place names, and their wedding cake was decorated with green leaves and a beautiful apple cake topper it was brilliantly original!!!! The room looked stunning !

Leaving the wedding party to enjoy their meal I returned later to cover the evening reception and the first dance. Perfect end to a perfect day. Congratulations Lucinda and Adrian and I look forward to meeting up with you when you return from your honeymoon to design you wedding album – White Lace one of our new ranges – very exciting.

Christ Church Oswestry was the ceremony venue for Angela and Dmitri. It is a favourite of mine because it was one of my first churches over nine years ago,  I also enjoy working at this churche due to its position, it gives the oppportunity for great shots outside with the church in the background.

Angela arrived in a horse and carriage which looked absolutely fantastic. Post ceremony we moved onto Bailey Hill and took some shots with the church in the background before moving on to the reception venue, which was Sweeney Hall. As the horse and carriage arrived, I had a small window of opportunity to get some shots as the carriage travelled up the main road A483 before turning into the driveway without any trees etc in the forground. These look amazing! Really captured the movement and grandeur of the horse and carriage!

As the weather was in our favour, we took some romantic and intimate shots around the gardens before capturing the group shots, and moving indoors ready for the mealtime. The room looked georgous, with its maroon and pink themed decorations and flowers. The speeches offered some great photo opportunities, capturing the happiness and warmth of all the guests.

After a short break, I returned to photograph the evening reception and the first dance before leaving Mr & Mrs Sampson to enjoy the remainder of their day with their guests.

After a beautiful week last week, the weather this week had turned rather wintery. We had been crossing our fingers for todays wedding and it seemed to work. Although it was a bit cold – it remained dry for Anwen and Darren who got married at Capel Penuel in Rhosllanerchrugog and had their wedding reception at The Bryn Howel Hotel in Llangollen.

The ceremony was held in this beautiful chapel which allows for beautiful shots of the ceremony from their balcony area. After a couple of family group shots at the chapel we went on to the wedding reception venue, D G Limos Wrexham provided the cars for the couple to travel there.

The snow capped mountains provided a fabulous backdrop for the wedding photographs and the gardens at The Bryn Howel Hotel are always a pleasure to work in. Romantic shots, Family and friends, Cake cutting and a great confetti shot completed the coverage of the daytime wedding photography.

After a short time off site, it was back to capture the evening reception and the traditional first dance of the bride and groom. We also worked today with one of our favourite husband and wife video companies – Jean and John from Premier Video Productions – we always work as a great team ensuring the bride and groom enjoy the coverage and we always get some fantastic results for them to look back at!

Congratulations Anwen and Darren, I will look forward to re-living your day when I create your album from your choice of those special images from your wedding day! I always feel so priviledged that my job allows me to capture those special moments from a couples wedding day !

The second of this weeks wedding was at The Lion Quays Hotel, Chirk, Wrexham just on the borders of Oswestry, Shropshire.

Todays bride and groom were Carys and Sam. As the ceremony was to be held at The Lion Quays we were on site throughout the day. Bridal preparations were captured in the bridal suite before I went down to the canalside to meet up with the groom. A string quartet entertained guests and played for the brides arrival in the Lion Quays conservatory for the wedding service. With the weather still warm and sunny we could take the happy couple and family & friends into the gardens to get those all important shots. After romantic shots, family and friends group shots and a full guest group it was inside for the speeches. A short break then before I returned to capture the evening reception and the first dance.

As I left I couldn’t resist taking some beautiful night shots of the hotel lit up – these can be viewed on my facebook and website.

Wow – one of the hottest March weeks on record ! We have had two wedding this week this is the first. The weather was definately sunny and hot for this wedding at Llyndir Hall Wrexham for Gemma and Scott. Scott arrived in a ferrari, while Gemma had the more traditional Beauford wedding car. After a lovely church ceremony we went on to Llyndir Hall for the wedding reception.With the sun shining there were plenty of photographic opportunities in the gardens. Congratulations and thank you for letting me capture your day for you.

A lovely March wedding at Llyndir Hall Hotel Wrexham, with the added bonus of an outdoor ceremony. Jade and David choose Llyndir Hall as their setting for their wedding day and True Reflections Photography were honoured to capture their special day for them. I arrived on site mid morning to document the bridal preparations, which proved to be a busy time with seven bridesmaids and two paigeboys. David’s arrival proved to be a novel event – a tractor ride into Llyndir Hall decorated with balloons and ribbons.

The weather was in our favour, so the ceremony was held outside. This is always a great opportunity for some fantastic shots. After Jade and David officially tied the knot, we went into the gardens to get those all important romantic shots for the album. Using all areas of the fantastic grounds at Llyndir we have got some fantastic results – using some special filters have added to the finished result. Perfect! After a well earned break, back to Llyndir Hall for the evening festivities and the all important first dance.

What have we been up to today? Once again we were contacted by The Holt Lodge Hotel, Wrexham – this time we have been asked to shoot the new Garden Suite, all set up for a wedding to feature in their new brochure. They have also requested to use some of the shots from True Reflections Photography previous weddings at Holt Lodge to illustrate how stunning this venue is for your wedding day. Of course we have obliged with pleasure, as we love to share our work with the hotels we work at. We will also be featuring in The Holt Lodge’s brochure and we have a promotional album on display at the hotel with a very special offer for couples tying the knot at this venue.

The garden suite was redesigned by Lister Carter – Interior, Architectural and Furniture Design of Chester, and is now fully open for weddings. Pop along to their open evening on 29^th March – but if you can’t wait until then here are a few sneak previews of the new room!
