2 Pre-Wedding Shoots at Llyndir Hall Hotel, Wrexham This Week For True Reflections Photography

This week we have visited Llyndir Hall twice for pre-wedding shoots in the gardens. Luckily the weather, although bitterly cold, stayed dry for us to make use of the landscaped gardens here which are ideal for wedding photography.

This year we have weddings to cover at Llyndir Hall along with Lion Quays, Rowton Castle, Grosvenor Pulford, Peckforton Castle, Thornton Hall, Vale Royal Abbey, Hill Valley, Bodidris Hall, Wild Pheasant, Plas Hafod, Maenan Abbey, White Waters, Wynstay Oswestry, Sweeney Hall Hotel, Highfield Hall, Northop Hall Hotel, Bryn Howel and Ramada Plaza to name the most popular venues in the area. WOW quite a few different locations this year. Llyndir Hall and Lion Quays are the most popular for us this year with 6 weddings at each to date, and 5 at Grosvenor Pulford.

Our Valentines Offer which is running throughout February is proving popular – we have had 5 appointments booked in last couple of days for viewings in the next week. Looking forward to meeting new couples and hopefully capturing their special day for them.

2012 is looking to be our busiest year and we are filling up key dates fast for  2013/14! Recommendations from previous couples are lovely as it shows we  care about our work and always ensure EVERY couple gets the best whenever or wherever they get married.

Wedding Photography at Rowton Castle, Shrewsbury

Rowton Castle was the venue for Maria & Stephen’s wedding. Rowton Castle is becoming one of our most popular venues, and getting many enquiries to cover the photography here.

The coverage started with Groom and best man in the castle grounds, the weather was overcast, but showers were holding off for the photographs.

The intimate ceremony was captured perfectly with the atmosphere showing in the photographs. We took advantage of the still dry conditions to take some romantic shots in the beautiful gardens here at Rowton Castle.

We had the pleasure of covering the speeches – the groom had recorded a special song which was played for his new wife.

Returning early in the evening we captured the guests at the evening reception and the couples first dance. A few shots of the outside of the castle using specialist lighting, creating some stunning shots of this beautiful venue and one of my favourite hotels to work at.

Highfield Hall Northop, Mold – Wedding Photography

The second of our Christmas Weddings took place on 29th December at Highfield Hall, Northop Hall, Mold Flintshire.

The Wedding had that lovely Christmassy feel – the flowers traditional red for the season. Coverage started with the bridal preparations at the hotel before I went on to the Church to  meet the groomsmen. The weather was a bit on the wet side, but inside St Eurgains Church, Northop was warm and welcoming with all the Christmas decorations. Jen was given away by her Dad and the service was enjoyed by all. Due to the weather, we took advantage of the inside of the church to take some family group shots with Jen and Richard.

Off to the hotel for some shots outside with the cars – umberella keeping the happy couple dry! With the weather still wet, we made use of the lovely hotel rooms for some romantic shots and some more of the family groups Jen had requested.

The conservatory was the setting for the meal, which overlooks the landscaped gardens and was exceptionally beautiful with the Christmas themed decorations.

Off site for a couple of hours before returning for the night reception, with the first dance and an extra special guest arriving for photographs with his newly married owners!

Congratulations Jen and Richard, I look forward to meeting up with you again in 2012!

Davenport Green Hall, Manchester – Wedding Photography Michala & Daniel

Christmassy feel to today’s wedding on 23rd December at The Davenport Green Hall in Manchester. The weather was a bit on the blustery shower side rather than snow or frosty ground, but the setting was beautiful for the wedding of Michala and Danny.
Coverage started at the bridal preps, where the girls were busy getting ready for the day ahead. At the church the grooms men were waiting their arrival. The ceremony was a festive occasion with the Church decorated for the season. Off to the reception at The Davenport Green Hall, which is ideally situated for weddings on the outskirts of Manchester in beautiful landscaped gardens. Photographs both inside and outdoors avoiding the showers, using the bride and grooms wedding theme of “A Winter Wonderland”.
Speech coverage was humorous – the best man speech re-living the antics of the groom and himself during their colourful youth.
A short break before the evening reception which began with the cake cutting and the traditional tossing of the bridal bouquet to the waiting guests. On then to the first dance, which was enjoyed by all the guests, taking to the floor along with the bride and groom.
Congratulation to Mr and Mrs Marfleet, I look forward to designing your wedding album in 2012. Happy New Year to you both!

Highfield Hall, Northop, Mold – pre Wedding Photography shoot

Today we were at Highfield Hall, Northop Hall, Mold for the second of our Christmas Weddings signature board shoots.

We took a range of shots both inside with the Christmas Tree and Hotel stairway to outside on the patio area, which gave the couple a choice for their signature board image. They decided on the outdoor shot, which looks warm with the vintage sepia tones. Looking forward to sharing the day with Jennifer and Richard very soon.

Davenport Green Hall Hotel, Manchester – Pre-wedding Photography shoot

Saturday morning, and a trip up to Manchester for our Christmas wedding’s signature board shoot. I met up with our couple, Michaela and Danny at the hotel for their pre-wedding shoot and final consultation. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, recently lanscaped with a new Janpanese themed garden area, but the weather was not on our side as the wind and showers would not have made for a good outdoor shoot. The reception rooms indoors provided a more than adequete setting for the shot, which provided us with a lovely image to be used in the signature board.

Hopefully the weather will be more suitable on their wedding day and we can take advantage of the grounds and new garden areas for their wedding day pictures. Watch this space!

Lifestyle Family Portrait, Chirk, Wrexham – Chirk Castle Photography

Thankfully the weather was on our side yesterday morning to take some fantastic outdoor natural shots of two beautiful children. We went up to the Chirk Castle Gates and got some lovely shots of the children walking down the tree shaded road towards St Mary’s Caravan Park and a couple in front of the gates. Off then into the  woods, we chose an area with a felled tree and the leaves on the ground to add colour and interest to the shots – with some fantastic results. The children were brilliant! Smiles and grins throughout.

As these are for Christmas Gifts photos will be added in the New Year. They will make a wonderful present for Grandparents, family members and friends. Ask for our price list today.

Rowton Castle Wedding Photography – Phillippa and Mark November 2011

Todays venue was at the stunning Rowton Castle, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, with the lovely Phillippa and Mark to capture their wedding photography for the day.
A mid-November day, but the weather was perfect for the wedding at this castle location.
The morning photography began with the bridal preps, Phillippa was very calm – despite a broken leg – and just looking forward to her special day. The bridesmaids, flower girls, Mum and Dad were on hand to ensure Phillippa was ready to say her vows.
Outside, Mark and his best man were putting the final touches to the speeches – feeling slightly nervous but again looking forward to the day ahead.
The ceremony gave us some fantastic shots – really capturing the joy and laughter from all the guests – tears from the bridesmaid during her emotional reading, she was not alone and tears of happiness were shared amongst many of the guests throughout the ceremony.
Outside to get some romatic shots in the grounds of the castle, with the light starting to fade away, gave a lovely wintery feeling to the images. The speeches again gave much laughter and tears, one of the best I have been privileged to capture! Off site then to allow the happy couple and their guests to enjoy their meal before heading back for the evening entertainment.
A wedding singer, casino tables and a disco set the eveing up to be a great success with everyone enjoying themselves – catured perfectly on camera. The first dance went well with the guests taking the floor with the newly weds. A special dance for Phillippa and her Dad ended my evenings coverage.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Neal – thank you for allowing me to share your special day. I look forward to putting together your album for you to remember those special moments from your wedding day!

Wedding Photography: Donna & Martin at the Grosvenor Pulford, Cheshire

Todays Autumn wedding was of a lovely couple Donna and Martin. The day began with wonderful sunshine – you wouldn’t believe it was the end of October.
The bridal preps went well with all the girls enjoying the pampering – Donna was quiet calm and ready for her special day.
Off to meet the boys at Plas Power Church – this is a stunning chrurch in beautiful grounds just outside Wrexham in Bersham. We had some great shots of the boys and then awaited the arrival of the bridesmaids. Plenty of time for some traditional shots of the bridesmaids whilst we waited for Donna and her Grandad to arrive. A couple of shots in the car then I left Donna to gather her thoughts before her walk down the aisle to meet Martin.
I usually take my position at the rear of the church for the ceremony – this avoids distraction for the couple but still enables me to get those all important shots without a camera directly in their faces. The ceremony was captured perfectly here once again with those all important memories ready for their album.
As the grounds here are so beautiful, we took some time out to get some traditional family group shots with the bride and groom before leaving for The Grosvenor Pulford, Chester.
The sun was shining and the sky was like a summers day – perfect for those romantic shots in the new gardens at The Grosvenor Pulford. Following a full group shot, we went indoors and whilst the guests were enjoying some pre-breakfast refreshments, we took the opportunity of the staircase and mirror photographs that are popular at this hotel. Some images of the room set out and then the staged cutting of the cake before I left Donna and Martin to greet their guests and enjoy the afternoon.
I was asked to share the evening reception with them also – and after taking casual round the table shots of the guests, the first dance was played early to allow everyone to enjoy the evening and relax.
As it was still fairly early, I suggested we went back outside to make the most of the gardens on this clear, dry autumn eveing. the shots are amazing! Donna and Martin were naturals and I enjoyed every minute of this shoot which has produced some stunning results.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Barlow, I look forward to designing your album for you.

Lion Quays Wedding Photography of Helen and David

The wedding of Helen and David at The Lion Quays Hotel and Spa Oswestry proved to be a beautiful autumnal day. After the unseasonable warm weather of late, the previous week had been rather cold and wet, but today proved to be fairly mild with no heavy rain.
The day started at Helens house, the groom had left a bottle of perfume and a card with a romatic sentiment which we captured as part of the bridal preperations. Helen was calm and ready to enjoy her day, with plenty of lighthearted chatter whilst getting ready. At 10am Helen couldn’t believe in just one hours time she was to be Mrs Millett!
At the church David and his best man were waiting the arrival of the bride. A few shots in the wooded gardens of the church before David went inside to await his brides arrival.
The ceremony was lovely with a reading given during the service taken by a wonderful lady vicar. Traditional family shots at the Church, before the wedding party left for the reception at The Lion Quays. As the weather was favourable, we took advatage of some great shots in the beautiful landscaped gardens and down by the canal side, before going indoors for the staged cutting of the cake. Speeches followed the meal then a short break for me before returning to photograph the evening guests and first dance – Queen You’re My Best Friend was the chosen track for this.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Millett, looking forward to creating your special album to remember those moments from your wedding day.
